Initiated by James Torry at Doodledoo Motion in response to the horrendous Manchester Area Attack, over 60 Manchester creatives came together, each taking a line from Tony Walsh's now-famous poem to inspire unique pieces of art, illustration, design and photography. The work is now presented in a one-of-a-kind book, designed by the team at Glorious Creative, with all proceeds going to charitable causes.
For Cheetham Bell's entry, I was given a really powerful line and one that I felt summed up the strong feelings felt by the people of Manchester in the aftermath of the tragedy.
The idea was to present the line as faithfully and solemnly as possible, but to also show the collective ‘rallying cry’ in a typically Mancunian fashion.
